China's silicon carbide smelting production process, technical equipment and energy consumption per ton have reached the world's leading level. The quality of black and green silicon carbide blocks is also world-class. The gap between China's silicon carbide and the world's advanced level is mainly concentrated in four aspects:
First, in the production process rarely use large mechanical equipment, many processes rely on manpower to complete, per capita silicon carbide output is low;
Second, in silicon carbide deep processing products, the quality management of granular sand and micro powder products is not fine enough, product quality stability is not enough;
Third, there is a certain gap between the performance index of some cutting-edge products and similar products in developed countries.
Fourth, carbon monoxide is discharged directly in the smelting process. Major foreign enterprises have basically realized closed smelting, while China's silicon carbide smelting is almost all open smelting, carbon monoxide all straight line. In 2012, Chinese enterprises developed the closed smelting technology and realized the full recovery of carbon monoxide, but there is still a long way to go before the whole industry is popularized.
